Library picker [#library-picker]
When your assistant searches the slide library, the results appear as slides, not as text.
To use a deck, click Use this deck. To leave slides out first, click Browse slides, switch off the slides you don’t need, and use the rest. Slides that aren’t templates are marked Not fillable.
To use single slides, click them in the order you want them, then click Use these (or Use this slide). The bar shows how many slides you picked and their cost (1 credit per slide).
Choosing doesn’t spend credits by itself. The picker sends your choice into the chat as a message, such as Fill the Decky library deck “Board strategy review” (deck_id: …) with my material. Your assistant then reads your material and calls
fill_templates. If the chat can’t take a message from the card, the picker shows the text with a Copy button: paste it into the chat yourself.
Deck card [#deck-card]
Everycreate_deck and fill_templates job appears as a deck card that keeps itself up to date.
While the deck is built, the card shows:
- the current step, such as Waiting for a free worker, Building slides, Filling the slides, or Rendering the slide previews,
- a tile per slide that fills as slides are built (4 of 10 slides built), and how many came from the library,
- the master and the credits reserved (up to 100 credits),
- Cancel. It asks you to confirm (Cancel and refund), and reserved credits are refunded.
- Open in PowerPoint and Download .pptx,
- previews of the finished slides as built, when they were rendered. Open one to see it large and step through the deck.
- for library fills: the placeholders to confirm, with their slide numbers, and what was not in your material. Slides with placeholders carry a to confirm chip.
- skipped slides, slides left out of the storyline, and picture slots that kept the template’s sample picture, with reasons,
- credit lines for third-party assets, such as Logos by Logo.dev,
- the credits charged.
Open in PowerPoint [#open-in-powerpoint]
The button tries these in order:1
The PowerPoint desktop app
The card asks the chat to open the deck in PowerPoint on your device. PowerPoint opens it for viewing; save a copy to keep and edit it.
2
Decky's hand-off page
Some chats only open web links (claude.ai is one). Then the card opens a Decky page in your browser that opens PowerPoint from there. Your browser may ask whether to open PowerPoint: allow it. If nothing opens, or the device has no PowerPoint, the page offers Download the deck. Its links work for 5 minutes. After that, press Open in PowerPoint in the chat again.
3
PowerPoint for the web
Under the buttons, No PowerPoint on this device? Open it in PowerPoint for the web opens the deck in Microsoft’s online viewer. If the chat opens neither the app nor the hand-off page, the card opens PowerPoint for the web directly.
Decks open with the Decky PowerPoint add-in beside them. PowerPoint offers to add it if you don’t have it yet. Enterprise decks don’t carry this, since organizations deploy the add-in themselves.
open_in_powerpoint_url that get_deck_download_url returns. The download link travels in the page address’s # fragment, which browsers never send to a server, and the page only opens Decky deck links.
For integrators
search_library, create_deck, and fill_templates declare their card in _meta.ui.resourceUri (ui://decky/…), served as text/html;profile=mcp-app. The cards load slide images through two helper tools marked app-only (get_library_slides and get_deck_previews), which the assistant doesn’t need. get_deck_status has no card of its own: the deck card follows the job.
